KINGS DANCE CREW TRYOUT INFORMATION
Try Out Requirements:

Dance Elements:
* Fundamental Hip Hop Technique/Tricks​
What we are looking for:
Dancers should be outgoing and spirited! In addition, they should be athletic and well versed in hip hop dance technique including musicality, freestyle, and confidence. Tryouts are often subjective and the candidate must understand the decision of the judges are final.​
Returning team members will be expected to demonstrate growth from the previous year. In addition to the qualities listed above, veterans will be judged on their attitude, effort, and character as displayed the previous year.​

Monday, February 23rd 4:45 - 6:45: Learn Try Out Choreography
Tuesday, February 24th 4:45 - 6:45: Review Try Out Choreography/Try Out numbers/Groups
Wednesday, February 25th (CANCELLED DUE TO TEAM EVENT)
Thursday, February 26th 4:45 - 6:45: Mock Try Out
Friday, February 27th 4:45 - 8:00: Try Out Day (CLOSED AUDITION)
*Results will be posted on the website and Instagram: nimitzkingsdancecrew the following day Saturday

Monday - Tuesday - All Black (t-shirt, tank, shorts, leggings, capris, joggers)
Thursday & Try Out Day - All Black (t-shirt, tank, leggings, joggers)
Shoes: dance sneakers ​
Try Out Day:
* You may arrive at 4:30 to stretch and get ready for try out in Dance Room
* Hair must be in a SLICK ponytail
* Face natural make up/gloss or maroon lips
* Clean Dance sneakers

* Press Leap
* Single/Double Pirouette
* Tilt kick
* Renverse
* Calypso
* Kicks

Dancers should be outgoing and spirited! In addition, they should be athletic and well versed in jazz and contemporary dance technique including sharpness, precision, and confidence. Tryouts are often subjective and the candidate must understand the decision of the judges are final.
